Fotoprotector ISDIN UV Mineral Brush SPF 50+



Golfers are always exposed to the sun, and if you are a professional golfer, you are spending at least 5-6 hours of the day outside! It is a lot to take for the skin. 

I've always been looking for a powder with SPF, and I finally found one that I like. 

ISDIN is a Spanish dermatological brand with innovative products for your skin. I heard about it from my fellow Spanish professional golfers, and it's really good!

In my opinion, when you golf for a living, you cannot avoid the sun. I wear a bigger brim visor and use sunscreen that I am in love with (which I will introduce in another post) but still after a week of tournaments during summer, my skin tone is almost 3 shades darker than what I started with. On a tournament day, we spend something between 6-8 hours outside, if not longer. 

Saying that this product is small enough to carry in your golf bag and has an attached brush, which makes it possible for us to re-apply on the course. 

The only downside to this is that it takes a while for the powder to be applied to the brush. It says on the site to "give two small touches of the brush on the back of the hand," but it took me vigorous shaking and about 5 hard touches for the powder to mix well with the brush.

Little about me, my goals, and purpose/ まほです！よろしくお願いします！

Hi, for those of you that don't know me, I'd like to give you a little introduction of myself. My name is Maho Hayakawa, I am a Japanese golfer playing tournaments around the world. I moved to Dubai when I was 7, and that's where I started playing golf with my family. I was lucky I got to continue playing the game; I moved to Japan and Mexico after I left Dubai, but both countries had good golfing environment (less so in Japan) and I was able to continue competing. I spent 2 years of high school at the Mike Bender Golf Academy in Lake Mary, Fl, training with Mike Bender. I just graduated from University of Virginia where I played on the golf team, and I turned professional right after I graduated, in 2018. For the past year and a half, I've been competing in Eggland's Golf Tour, Cactus Tour, Japan Ladies Circuit, and Japanese ATP tournaments. Updates from Japan・日本でゴルフ

Hi, hope you’re all having a good summer! I want to first apologize for not updating the blog frequently. My keypad on my laptop broke and with moving, practicing, adjusting to Japan, I had a hard time securing time to sit and write. A lot has happened since the last post-  first, I didn’t make it past 2nd stage of pro test in Japan :( It was really disappointing because I didn't play well at all, and when I think about it now,  I really didn't prepare for it the way I wanted to. I turned professional in May, and ever since then, I feel like I had too much going on and was never fully focused on the "present." I think the hardest thing about becoming a professional athlete is dealing with uncertainty. I think it's different if you already have status on some tour and have a set schedule, but as for now, I am trying to get status for the following season, so nothing is really set.
