2018 Summer Schedule・2018年夏の試合

So we are already half way into June, which is really crazy because I feel like the summer has just begun. Also, have you guys been watching the U.S. Open?? I can't even imagine how hard it is playing Shinnecock this week...

Anyhow, quite a few people have asked me where I am going next, so I am writing down the schedule below for tournaments!

6/26-6/29  Japan LPGA Professional Test Stage II at Tochigi, Japan
7/20 ATP Tournament in Chiba, Japan (Undecided)
7/24-27  Japan LPGA Professional Test Stage III (Undecided) at Hyougo, Japan
7/30 Japan Women's Open Qualifier at Okayama, Japan
8/7-8/10 Japan LPGA Q-School Stage I
8/20-8/26 LPGA Q-School Stage I


I was originally not going to play Q-School in the U.S. because I thought they overlapped, but they didn't! Also, my ultimate goal as a professional golfer is to play on the LPGA Tour, so I decided to take a shot at it.

I am actually very excited to spend a good amount of time in Japan, and hope to learn a lot from each event. I will keep you guys posted with how each event goes! I'm ready to compete!!

夏は始まったばかりと思いきや、もう6月中旬！時間がたつのは早すぎます。それと、皆さんはU.S. Open 見てますか？コンディションがとても難しそうですね（汗）

それは、良しとして、いろんな人から今年の夏のスケジュールを聞かれたので、試合をリストアップします！

6月26-29日　プロテスト2次　（栃木）
7月20日    ATP Tournament （千葉）→まだ確実じゃないです
7月24-27日　プロテスト3次　（兵庫）　→まだ確実じゃないです
7月30日　日本女子オープン予選
8月7-10日　日本 Q-School Stage I
8月20-26日　LPGA Q-School Stage I

もともとは、アメリカのQ-Schoolと日本のQ-Schoolがかぶると勘違いをしていたので、日本を優先する予定でしたが、やはり、最終的な個人のゴールはアメリカのLPGAで戦うことなので、逃げないで挑戦することにしました！

日本で一ヶ月以上すごせるのは本当に楽しみです。試合の結果はちゃんと報告するので、待っていてください★がんばります！

First and foremost, happy new year!! Hope 2019 is filled with joy and success for all of you guys! Little about me, my goals, and purpose/ まほです！よろしくお願いします！

Hi, for those of you that don't know me, I'd like to give you a little introduction of myself. My name is Maho Hayakawa, I am a Japanese golfer playing tournaments around the world. I moved to Dubai when I was 7, and that's where I started playing golf with my family. I was lucky I got to continue playing the game; I moved to Japan and Mexico after I left Dubai, but both countries had good golfing environment (less so in Japan) and I was able to continue competing. I spent 2 years of high school at the Mike Bender Golf Academy in Lake Mary, Fl, training with Mike Bender. I just graduated from University of Virginia where I played on the golf team, and I turned professional right after I graduated, in 2018. For the past year and a half, I've been competing in Eggland's Golf Tour, Cactus Tour, Japan Ladies Circuit, and Japanese ATP tournaments. My goal is to play on a Ladies Professional Tour, and as of October 2018, I am preparing to play the 2020 LET Q

Updates from Japan・日本でゴルフ

Hi, hope you’re all having a good summer! I want to first apologize for not updating the blog frequently. My keypad on my laptop broke and with moving, practicing, adjusting to Japan, I had a hard time securing time to sit and write. A lot has happened since the last post-  first, I didn’t make it past 2nd stage of pro test in Japan :( It was really disappointing because I didn't play well at all, and when I think about it now,  I really didn't prepare for it the way I wanted to. I turned professional in May, and ever since then, I feel like I had too much going on and was never fully focused on the "present." I think the hardest thing about becoming a professional athlete is dealing with uncertainty. I think it's different if you already have status on some tour and have a set schedule, but as for now, I am trying to get status for the following season, so nothing is really set.
