Cactus Tour・アメリカミニミニ・ツアー②

I am switching up things up a little and this article is going to start out with the English translation!
Hope I'm not throwing people off :)

So I am going to talk a little bit about the Cactus Tour, which is a mini-tour based on the west coast, mainly in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Texas.

I've never played it, but I may play it next year if it works with the schedule. I'll let you know when my 2019 schedule is set :)

Back to talking about the tour- the season is from January through November, and the tournaments are spaced so that you'll be on the road for three weeks with a week of rest (unless conflicts arise). You do not need any status to play in this event, and is a good tour to prepare you for Q school in August! 

As I said, I've never played this tour, so I am going off straight from what is on the site, and a few interviews from previous players. I've also had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Mike Brown over email, and he seemed like a very nice person!  

Each event is three days, and players get carts (NWGA allowed riding on carts until 2018, but 2019 season will only allow walking with/without caddies).

Each field is limited to 72 players, and top 50% gets paid! Low am gets a $100 gift card, so I would say that the tournament has fair reward for the amateur players, too.

Their purse is determined by the number of players that sign up to play, and follows the formula below:

[$550 (entry fee-$10 for food, drinks, etc) x number of players] - Course Usage Fees  +Available sponsorship money = Total Purse

So I looked at all the winner's purse since 2014-2016 and 2018, and it seemed like most winners were being paid between $2,000-$4,000, and the highest paid was $5,000 at one event in 2013.
It seems like there has been added purse every year from the statistics they show; therefore, there may be a possibility that the purse will go up in upcoming years.

You can pay and sign up for the Cactus Tour events via check/cash or via paypal, but there is service fee included with paypal, so if you want to save every penny, I would try paying by check or cash. I'll list the prices below so you'll have an idea!

Lastly, it seems like there is little host housing opportunity for the Cactus Tour; therefore, having a travel buddy will definitely help your travel expenses.

今日はいつもと違って、英語の記事を先に書いてみました。違和感ありますか？笑

今回は、二つ目のアメリカのミニ・ツアー、Cactus Tourについて書いてみました。
西海岸を拠点としていて、試合は主にフィーニックス（アリゾナ）ラス・ベガス（カリフォルニア）とテキサス州らしいです。

私は、このツアーに参戦したことはないですが、ロケーション的に日本に近いので、来年のスケジュールにあったら出るかもしれません。2019年のスケジュールができたら、お知らせしますね★

Cactus Tour のシーズンは1月から11月で、3週間ごと試合があって、1週間の合間がある感じです。このツアーも、資格やステータスがいらないので、だれでもでられます！

私は、このツアーに出場したことはないのでウェブサイトを訳して省略して、友人でツアー参戦している人達をインタビューしました。主催者のマイク・ブラウンさんとはメールでしかやりとりはありませんでしたが、非常に良い方そうでした！

このツアーは、毎回、3日間試合で、カートにのってプレーします。（ちなみに、前の記事で書き忘れましたが、2019年からNWGAはすべて歩きかキャーディー付になります。今年までは、カートでのプレーが多かったそうです。）各試合の出場人数は72人に限られていて、出場者の半数に賞金が支払われます！ちなみに、アマチュアの方にはギフト・カードの商品があるそうです。

賞金額はしたの方式で決まります。
$550（エントリー料金ー$10のスナックやドリンク代）x　出場者人数－コース使用代金＋スポンサー代金＝賞金

過去のデータをさかのぼると、ほとんどの優勝者は$2000-$4000くらいの賞金をもらっているようでした。一回、2013年に優勝賞金額が$5000だった時があって、それが一番高額でした。年々、賞金額は上がっていっているので、数年以内に賞金額がもっと高くなっている可能性もあります。

ちなみに、Cactus Tourにでるにはチェック・キャッシュかオンラインで支払うPaypalというシステムがありますが、利用費を取られるのでPaypalのほうが10ドルくらい高いです。
