アメリカのミニミニツアー①・NWGA Eggland's Best Ladies Professional Golf Tour
みなさん、こんにちは！今回の投稿は、夏に出る試合についてです！
もし、日本のプロ・ゴルファーの方で、アメリカでも試合にでたいという方がいらっしゃったら、この記事を読んで参考になれば嬉しいです。
アメリカのミニ・ツアーはいくつかあります。この試合は、出場するにあたって、資格やステータスを必要としません。誰でも出られます★

②The Cactus Tour
⓷各州のオープン試合
今回は、東海岸をメインに活動を行っている、NWGAさんについて説明させていただきます！
主催者のスコット・ウォーカーさんからして、とても素晴らしいツアーです。
2006年に立ち上げられたツアーで、格付けされていない選手や、新人選手を対象にしています。オンラインで試合に登録するときに、プロとして出るかアマチュアとしてでるか聞かれるので、もし賞金目当てでしたら、プロとして出ることを申告しなければなりません。ちなみに、エントリー料金は、プロの方がアマチュアより高いです。今までは、フロリダメインのツアーでしたが、来年から、フロリダ・テネシー・西バージニア・バージニア・北カロライナ・南カロライナ・ジョージアに広がるそうです。それと、来年は、賞金額もあがります。優勝者は、50万から150万の賞金がもらえます。
メンバーになるには$525で、もちろん、ノン・メンバーとしても試合にでれますが、もし2試合以上でる予定でしたら、メンバーになった方が得です。各試合のエントリー料金は4万弱から6万弱で、少し高めですが、試合の2ラウンドに、コースによってはただで練習ラウンドを回らせてくれるところもあるので、賞金をもらうと思うと妥当な金額だと思います。
このツアーに出場した選手の中では、次の年にSymetra （日本のステップ・アップ・ツアーに匹敵します）の資格を得た方やストレートでLPGAの資格を勝ち取った方もいます。試合慣れや上達するにあたって、素晴らしいツアーです。
私は、スケジュールの都合もあって2度しか参戦しませんでしたが、すべてがちゃんと整っていて賞金も悪くなく、コースも平均以上だと思いました。私よりも経験値の多い選手達も、ツアーのセットアップが気に入っているとおっしゃった方が多かったです。
試合によって、ホスト・ハウジングがあります。ローカルの方たちが、選手を家に無料で泊めてくださるシステムです。南カロライナの試合で、私もホスト・ファミリーに泊めてもらいました！素晴らしい方たちで、今でも交流があります。ホテル代をセーブするにはホスト・ファミリーの存在は大きいです。その他、他の選手と一緒に遠征して、ホテル代を割るのもありです。

Today's post is about summer tournaments. If anyone of you is turning pro, but don't know which tour to join, this is the article to read!
There are two big mini-tours that does not require any status, and there are always state opens that are open to any player. Below are your 3 options if you turned pro, but do not have status.
1. National Women's Golf Association (NWGA)
2. Cactus Tour
3. State Opens
In this post, I am talking mainly about NWGA which is based on the east coast!
The tour is honestly great, thanks to its president, Mr. Scott Walker, who organizes everything for the players and gives us a place to compete.
The tour started in 2006 for players who do not have the status to qualify for Symetra or LPGA tour. All you need to do is to sign up as a professional when filling out the entry sheet online. If you want prize money, you need to apply as a professional (but entry fee is more expensive for professional than for amateurs). Until 2018, the tour was based mainly in Florida, but according to Scott, the tour is expanding their location to Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia, North/South Carolina, and Georgia. Also, they have added purse bonus next year, and winner's purse can range from $5,000 to $15,000!
If you want to become a member for 2019, the fee is $525, but you can definitely compete as a non-member. I do suggest becoming a member if you are playing more than 2 events, though, because you will end up saving money by paying the member fee than paying the non-member fee for each event. Each tournament is around $400-600, which is a little pricey, but considering how you get to play 2-3 rounds of golf, plus (depending on the club) a free practice round and purse money, I think the entry fee is a good price.
The tour has helped many players reach the next level, whether that is Symetra or the LPGA tour. NWGA gives female golfers a platform to improve and learn about their game.
I only played 2 events because of my summer schedule, but I really liked how they were organized, I thought they paid decent, and the courses were both above average. I interviewed two players who have competed in NWGA for much longer than I have, and they both mentioned how well Scott organizes the tours.
Depending on the tournament, there will be host housings. I personally loved my experience staying with a host family; they were amazing people, and I still keep in touch with them. I think part of playing professionally is connecting with the local community, and host housing is one way to do that! Needless to say, host housings will help save money for hotels, which makes travelling less costly. If there is no host housing, one golfer mentioned the convenience of having a travel buddy, and splitting the expenses!
