One Day Tourney @ La Herreria

I had the opportunity last Monday to play in a one-day tournament hosted by "Federación de Golf de Madrid"- something I really wanted to do for a while!

These series of one-day events are called Circuito de Madrid, and they hold a weekly event that takes place every Monday for all professionals/amateurs with a handicap better than 2,4 with a Madrid's professional license of at least 2 years.

Because my license is only 6 months old, I had to get invited to play. I was fortunate to have my coach's  (Martin Cummins) home club invite me.

And this is the result.

So we started playing from hole 8, so I went par-par then I struggled big time in the back-nine.

Very thankful for "GameForge," a stat system that really analyzes and digs deep into my game.

Compared to ACC female collegiate players

 Compared to LPGA players

I think it is fair to say that my shortgame faltered the most, which is really rare for me. You can see how the gap between the blue and the black bar is the greatest mainly for approach shots, averaging only 14% of up&d. I also lost 3 shots on par 5's due to bad course management and indecisive shot selections, so next time I will definitely be more careful with that.

Overall, it was a great experience, a little unfortunate I won't be able to play in another tournament until September, but with good practice and friendly matches against friends, I hope I will be ready to compete when the season is back running!

Thank you to Federación de Golf de Madrid for giving me the opportunity to play, to everyone who helped me get in the tournament, to Martin Cummins and La Herrería for inviting me, and for my amazing support from everyone around me.
