Madrid Gets Snow: A week off the course

Here it is, 2021 off to a very interesting start.

Madrid had the biggest snowfall in 50 years.

The news was on several multi-national news channels which underlined the severity of the crisis.

It was a "natural disaster," but I'd say many people in Spain were happy to see snow, and the city was ecstatic with a festive mood. There were pedestrians with snowboards and skis enjoying the snow and families making snow angels and snowmen in the middle of the streets.

In midst of the chaos, there was this man with the dog sled.

And on top of all this, Gran Vía, equivalent to Broadway Street in New York, turned into a large snowball fight destination.

The newscasters mentioned how the snow was almost knee-high, and I would agree with that, as you can see in the video below.

I was cozy in my golf rain gear, double socks, and mittens.

Transportation is still paralyzed so a lot of people are choosing the metro. As of January 14th, there are more cars on the streets, even though the smaller roads are still covered with snow or ice.

The golf course is still covered in snow, and it will likely remain closed until next week at the earliest.

Until then, I will be engaging in indoor practices.

I've been doing the band workouts, plus some endurance works on the treadmill.

I'm not opposed to indoor golf works for techniques.

The season will start in April at the earliest, so I am not too stressed about the current situation.

I will upload some band workouts in the upcoming days.

Wishing for your health and safety in midst of these difficult times!

Thank you!
